Is this groundhog day?

I seem to remember some dumb idea by the CIA and MI5 to send arms to a rebel force in another middle eastern war called the mujadine to fight another aggressor the USSR.Only problem is they became the Taliban and loads of American and British bodies have come home in plastic bags blown to bloody pieces by there own weapons.Looks like Brize Norton is going to become a BOOM town soon.Are all politicians as*holes or are all as*holes politicians?
