Should I be worried about my kitten / cat?

Tonight I had to bring my moms cat to live with me. I have 2 cats. One just had a kitten. She is attacking my moms cat and he's usually the aggressor. They've gotten along in the past. Is it safe for me to go to sleep? Please no rude answers. True advice please.
